live a life worthy...

"As a prisoner of the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle: be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one Body and One Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called: one Lord, one faith, one baptism: one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
Ephesians 4:1-6

I read through the whole book of Ephesians the other day and these particular 6 verses stood out to me the most.
Ephesians is one of those books that I have always loved; each time I read it properly I find something new that kinda kicks my brain into thinking.

Ever since I read this passage I find myself realising that I need to start doing, instead of just talking about things.
When Paul was writing this he was in prison, in prison and still praising God and he wrote to his friends in Ephesus that they should live a life worthy of the calling they had
received ...
For some beautiful reason God loves us and calls us to do amazing things for Him, He has these dreams for what our lives could be and should be and He calls us to step into that life.
He created us to have the dreams and passions we have, he created us to love one another and be in the one Body and one Spirit, He created us to be the one part of that Body and spirit that we can be.

I have just started to read The Heavenly Man - an amazing book about Brother Yun who travelled around China preaching to people. The book holds nothing back, it is brutally honest about what Yun went through in a country which considered him a criminal.

At 16 this man heard God call him to go to the west and south and preach... so he went. He got up the next morning and started walking! the very next day!
He just went, he gets what Paul was writing here, he understood that we are called to live the life which God calls us to.

Yun knew that he would likely end up in prison, being beaten and potentially worse but he went anyway. And as I read the book and see how the One Body and One spirit worked in Yun's life, I am overwhelmed with an excitement of what could happen if we all did as he did...if we all just stepped out into the life we are called into, if we went the very next moment we could and did what God asked of us... what could happen? How could this world change???

Read the book, Read Ephesians and see what God talks to you about.

much love to y'all
xoxo
